  What does the Word 'Reiki' mean?

'Rei-ki'  is universal 'Life-force' or 'Energy', 'Chi', 'Ki', 'Prana', 'Spirit', 'Breath of Life"

'Rei-ki' is the ancient art of hands-on healing. It is a simple manual art with a philosophical understanding of the human condition.

'Rei-ki' evokes the healing of the body/mind from within. It treats CAUSES, not symptoms.

'Rei-ki' resonates to the 'EMERALD' Ray!

It is not a religion.

Dr Mikao Usui, scholar and mystic, rediscovered it in Japan a century ago.

What effects can Reiki have?

It supports the body's natural ability to heal !

It re-establishes physical, spiritual, mental and emotional  well-being...

...through balancing the body's energy centers !

It promotes a state of relaxation...

...and cleanses the body of toxins !

It heals  holistically  in a totally non-intrusive way !

What about  Reiki as a Treatment on yourself ?

The flow of Rei-ki energy, transmitted through the hands, is experienced  in a variety of ways: heat, chill, tingling, pulsing or vibrations are felt. Those are some of the ways people may perceive  it.

You can practice  Rei-ki at work, home or any place simply by placing your hand(s) over the vital organs of your body for an 'instant recharge' without conscious effort.

Rei-ki is a valuable first aid tool which helps relieve pain, reduce swelling, staunch the flow of blood and can be applied effectively in emergency situations to aid others as well as yourself.

Receiving hands-on Reiki Therapy with Gabriela ...

Naturally you will need to make a appointment with Gabriela on Ph: 6234 9515.

Gabriela lives and works  in Hobart, the main city of Tasmania, Australia.

(If you live in other parts of the world, you can find a Therapist near you and discuss your needs with them. Ask them about their times and conditions, as they may vary.)

Allow yourself app. 2hrs per session. You are encouraged to share as to what issues you wish to resolve and you can ask questions at any time.

A traditional full Treatment  takes usually about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.  It takes place in a pleasant room, on a comfortable Massage Table, with towels and pillows to keep you warm and safe. Gentle music is used to set the scene. You remain fully clothed, but are asked to remove things like a watch , jewellery, tight belt and shoes, as those items can  restrict  the energy flow and reduce your comfort .

In other word, all you need to do is to be there, relax and enjoy.

After a session, you will  be given a drink of pure water or herb tea, to 'ground' you before returning to your daily life.

To further assist the healing,  It is advised to continue to drink more water then usual, at least for a few days, to help flush  the toxins through, which will have been released during treatment.

As Gabriela also uses Flower Essence for healing, she may suggest a suitable bottle of those to further promote the healing process.

How many Levels of Reiki are there?

There are THREE Levels:

Reiki Level l   Physical Healing, hands on healing is taught

Reiki ll   Mental Healing, distant healing is taught

Reiki lll   Spiritual Healing, this is also the Master Teacher Degree

All Levels of Reiki Healing will affect the participant, self and or others, on which ever level the healing is required, it is merely the available methods, and the actual healing-power, plus the understanding of it, which increases with each level of Reiki.

Naturally, the frequency of application through practice is what ultimately makes one a effective Reiki-Person. In other words: Practice makes perfect !

How can one learn  Reiki?

The ability to practice Reiki is passed on through attunements

one receives during a seminar! The best way to find out how it feels, is to experience it.

Once you have been attuned to the Reiki Ray, you will never loose this gift, as it stays with you all your life. From now on, all you need to do is to 'think Reiki' for the Reiki-Power to activate for you. It is as simple as that.

Reiki l and Reiki ll are both usually taught over two days, generally a weekend.

Reiki l

Reiki l gives you the ability to heal yourself and others, by the laying on of hand in specific positions which are taught during the two day seminar. This is also called Physical-Healing.

During the two days you get the opportunity to practice what you are learning, you receive four attunements and are given a certificate and notes to take home to help you remember what you have learnt.

Reiki ll

Reiki ll gives you the ability to heal over distance, with help of the Reiki-Symbols. This is also called Absent-Healing.

During the two days you learn the symbols plus you get the opportunity to apply what you are learning, you receive one attunement and are given a certificate and notes to take home to help you remember what you have learnt.

Reiki lll

Reiki lll is the Master Teacher Level and will give you the ability to clear the remaining 'dark corners' of your being and with it you commit yourself to walk your truth once and for all. It is by far the most challenging of the levels and is approached with sincerity and the intention to grow spiritually to the highest potential one is capable of in this lifetime.

You may express your desire to take that step. The requirements of training are discussed individually and there is one final attunement involved and the Master Symbol is given. It requires more time then Reiki l and ll. You need to talk about that with your Master Teacher personally.

You receive a certificate and notes to take home to help you remember what you have learnt.

After a time of initiation and growth, you may begin to teach Reiki yourself.
