......The big Adventure
called LIFE had began......

My
parents called me 'Gabali', little Gabriela,
later
I was called 'Gaby' for short for some years,
until
I decided to reclaim my name at birth which is 'Gabriela' !

My
parents loved each other and therefore I felt safe.

I
enjoyed being taken on long walks by my parents.
My
longstanding friend Marta asked me on our first meeting, a very long time ago:
“Gaby, where do you live?” The answer was: “In Paradise!” That is
exactly how I as a small child, perceived my life and our garden to be.

The
home I grew up in, was very beautiful, accommodating to my father the artist and
my mother the ex-city-girl and myself, the up and coming globetrotter…

…
Later, my friendship with Ursi made life very enjoyable indeed. Us two girls
where close and nurtured each other through the trials and tribulations of the
primary school years. During secondary (high) school the relationship changed.
Ursi moved to another school, which still left some of the weekends to spend
together. Later our lives led us to see less and less of each other. Contact has
been restored in recent times.
…
My future took me to do a apprenticeship as a dental technician in my hometown.,
where I was sharing this experience with Trix, one year ahead of me in training.

…
Much was accomplished in this time… a skill was acquired which was to take me
all the way to my present time of life… it was to give me the mobility to
provide food and shelter when left by my first husband, with two little children
to support… and then later, to provide service the community with a very
important aspect of life, the tools to process nourishment.
I was placed in the middle of the front row, right next to my present close
fiend.
How uncanny, her name was also Ursi. The future looked bright…
My
skills where going to be demanded, also on the other side of the world…
in
Australia.
… I finished my
training with good marks and was now contemplating what to do with my adult
life. I continued to work after my graduation in my profession at the same
Laboratory
for the duration of two years.
That
is when I decided to explore the wider world and immigrated to Australia,
with
my friend Theres.
…
Theres and me traveling to Australia,
at the airport… in Switzerland...!
??? What
will the future bring ??? |
